I'm considering changing my major to landscape architecture, what's it like?

I'm a freshman in a different horticulture based major, but im considering switching to landscape architecture. i'm very creative but love biology and plants and was looking for a way to tie the two together. does anyone know what the career is like? i don't really know anything other than you design landscapes ha. are there a lot of jobs in this field? is it a lower income job? is it mostly an urban based job or more rural too?

The landscape architects in my area, Southern Oregon, they also have to do a lot of the manual labor in the hot sun, Maybe if you were doing it for large corporations, all you would have to do is draw up the plans. here they are rather well paid.

i changed my major from lar to horticulture because i love working with plants. i did not want a desk job. yes, there are a good bit of mostly urban jobs that pay a little more. but i have been much happier as a landscape designer working in the field
