If i apply to brown with a human biology major, can i transfer to a biomedical engineering major?

i'm really interested in both, maybe slightly more so in biomedical engineering... but i'm not sure. for their undergrad form, engineering majors have to write a few extra essays. seeing as these would be due jan 1st (i'm such a procrastinator... lol), should i just apply to human bio? is it hard to change majors at brown, especially into engineering?
