hi i'm 20 i have a question. if i got my associates degree in welding, then when i transfered to the 4 year school and wanted to attain my bachleor's in another subject like buisness or history. will i need to take more general ed classes? and will me having the welding degree mean nothing?
Question: about changing major's? answer please 10 points!!?
It depends entirely on what you took aside from the classes necessary for your associate's degree. The vast majority of schools allow the transfer of class credits, so if you did your required basic courses in your 2-year college, there's no reason you should have to take them again. It depends, too, on what your college requires regarding basic courses. You might have to take a couple depending on if they require more than the college where you got your associates. Get a copy of your transcript and go to the registrar of your prospective college. Talk to him/her about it and see what you'll have to do.
