I am a junior in college and I signed my major in Finance but after taking a class in finance, I realized it's not what I wanted to do. I don't know what I want to do and this is causing me stress, depression, and anxiety. I don't know if I should take some time off or what because I don't want to take classes I won't need. What do you guys think?
Changing Major Trouble?
You've probably just barely scratched the plate on your major's program so you should switch out. You don't necessarily need to drop the courses since they may apply as elective coursework anyway. If you just started the classes you may want to give it a try. Sometimes classes make subject matters unnecessarily complex and aren't entirely reflective of what it takes to work in the field itself.
Changing Major Trouble?
Talk to your advisor. You sitll have time to change your major. It is better to know now that this is not what you want to do with your life instead of spending years being unhappy.
